How to Play
Dandelions is a game of space, time, and strategy for two players
— in this version, you play the Dandelions against the Wind (computer).
YOUR GOAL: Cover every square in the meadow with flowers or seeds.
WIND'S GOAL: Leave at least one square empty.
Each round:
- You plant one flower anywhere on the grid (on an empty square, or on top of a seed).
- The Wind blows in one direction, carrying seeds from every flower on the board
into all empty squares downwind. Seeds land in every vacant square along the
line — they skip over flowers and other seeds without stopping.
The game lasts 7 rounds. The Wind must use a different direction each round
— one of the 8 compass directions will never be used. If the whole meadow is
covered, you win. If any square remains empty, the Wind wins.
TIP: Once two flowers can reach the same square from different
wind directions, that square is guaranteed — the Wind can skip one direction,
but not both. Learn to spot these, then focus on the squares still in doubt.
